Camera Obscura

The time I turned my room into a big camera.

Cloudy Day

28th July, 2018
This was the first image I took when experimenting with the camera obscura technique. Since it was a cloudy day the colours in the image are less vibrant and quite dull.

Cactus Obscura #1

30th July, 2018
I saw how the images looked on a cloudy day but I wanted to see them when the sky was blue as I thought it would show the colours better. Since it was brighter and I made the hole a bit bigger the images came out colourful, but more blurry and less focused. This is one of the angles I did.

Cactus Obscura #2

I saw how the images looked on a cloudy day but I wanted to see them when the sky was blue as I thought it would show the colours better. Since it was brighter and I made the hole a bit bigger the images came out colourful, but more blurry and less focused. This is one of the angles I did.

Cactus Obscura #3

I saw how the images looked on a cloudy day but I wanted to see them when the sky was blue as I thought it would show the colours better. Since it was brighter and I made the hole a bit bigger the images came out colourful, but more blurry and less focused. This is one of the angles I did.

Light Reflection #1

30th July, 2018
This was done using another angle to see what it would look like if the lense was facing the projection hole. I felt that this was the best the image would be able to come out due the balance between focus and brighness being difficult to change.

Sunny Day

29th July, 2018
This was a redo of the cloudy day image to try and get the bright colours of the outside back into the image. The only difference I saw in the image was lack of clouds.

Light Reflection #2

30th July 2018
This was done using another angle to see what it would look like if the lense was facing the projection hole. I wanted to show the gaps in the plastic covering and to show how it all worked.

Room Wrap

29th July, 2018
I wanted to show how the image wasnt just constricted to one wall but the whole room. In this image I displayed how the image would wrap around the room with stretched imagery
